Description

This course presents an overview of the basics of Psychology of Health. It will describe various methods for studying health, identifying how health beliefs/illness cognitions may predict behaviors, and understanding factors underlying health habits and lifestyles. It will focus on stress and various
health issues (e.g., smoking & alcohol use; eating, sleeping & exercise habits; pain, cancer, HIV, and coronary heart disease). Finally, gender and cultural
differences in health, such as common stressors and expressions of stress in Moroccan society will be addressed.
