Description

Placement based on TOEFL subs-cores and/or placement tests
Students entering level two grammar are expected to have a basic understanding of the rules and concepts behind core grammatical structures such as verb tense, sentence and clause structure and noun phrases, as level two builds upon these skills by requiring students to transfergrammatical knowledge to contextualized application. Students will consolidate their knowledge of grammar by learning to recognize and understand key structures in academic readings, practicing them in their own writing, as well as some work on using grammar in speaking and listening situations.
