3SCH Pre-requisite: CSC 3351 Operating Systems
The course focuses on the fundamentals of Cloud Computing technology, and provides a broad understanding of the different enabling technologies, e.g., Virtualization and Distributed Systems. Topics include concepts and architecture, standards, implementation strategies, Distributed Systems seen from a cloud computing perspective, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Data Center technology. The topics will be grounded in the context of “opensource†cloud computing enabling technologies.
