Description
Pre-requisites: CSC 2302 and EGR 3331
This course provides a discussion of the fundamentals of computer organization and architecture, and relates it to contemporary design issues. This will cover machine level representation of data, assembly level organization, memory system organization and architecture, system connection, memory, input/output, instruction sets, CPU’s structure and functions and the control Unit operation. Besides emphasizing the fundamental concepts, the course will discuss the critical role of performance in driving computer design.
