Description

This advanced course focuses on all aspects of oral and written communication. It has three components:
a). review of the basic rules of mechanics and grammar;
b) use of selected texts to practice reading aloud, remedy speech errors, and develop comprehension and appreciation;
c) practice writing in response to topic assignments.
The course also provides students with the skills of interpersonal, group and public communication and debate, and develops awareness of the importance of linguistic variations between the colloquial and the formal in various Arabic countries.
