Description

This course investigates the relations between cultural practices, spatial environments, and the role of place in shaping human experiences. It examines how space is socially constructed, how places acquire meaning through cultural and historical contexts, and how spaces and places shape identities.
Topics may include globalization, migration, urbanization, consumption, and the impact of space on everyday life. This course integrates perspectives from anthropology, geography, sociology, urban studies, history, and arts.
