I chose to talk about the first picture that represents a Mexican woman wearing traditional clothes photographed by Giulia Iacolutti. We can see that the woman chose to wear her traditional clothes that represents her identity, as well as wearing the scarf which is mandatory in Islam. That shows how she is attached to both her identity and religion. I think that islam can be adapted to different cultural customs and traditions especially when it comes to these small Muslim communities in non Muslim countries. That is, Islam cannot be separated from any other cultural components in Chiapas Mexico.
