In order to discuss Islam in Chiapas, I have decided to compare and contrast two pictures: 6& 12. 

In these two pictures, Islam is represented first by the way women are dressed. They are all covered, wearing a scarf. It is purely a sign of Islam but we can recognize their personal touch by the colors and the style of the clothes. This is how they express their identity. In the second picture, Islam is represented by the slaughtering two cows for a sacrificial feast in Chiapas. those two pictures are showing the intersection between their traditions and Islam. They are respecting it but practicing it using their culture.
