Description
Pre-req: CSC3326 Database Systems
This course introduces students to the Internet of Things (IoT) world and technological trends. It covers IoT specific requirements and challenges, reference architecture, components and protocols, as well as state of the art IoT cloud platforms and architectural patterns. As IoT is a main source of big data, this course also tackles the cloud technologies and services necessary to support big data streaming and processing. Students will be prepared for the IBM IoT Cloud Developer certification throughout the course, as well as a focused training towards the end.
