Description

This course explains the theoretical and analytical tools used to understand the causes of violent conflicts and the means to manage and resolve them. It surveys the different forms of political violence, including ethnic, domestic conflict and terrorism. It examines different forms of conflict management and resolution including preventative diplomacy, humanitarian intervention, peace making, and peace keeping. The course will use case studies.
