I think that when people use the term "African Islam" is a way of discrimination in order to say that all African people practice Islam in a different way and have different practices not like the Islam practiced in Asia and in the Middle East. Yet, I think according to what I have learned in this course that Islam actually differ from one country to another depending on traditions and culture of the country, so using the term "African Islam" is useless and meaningless because practices of Islam are not similar in each African country.
