The two pictures called the "Sacrifice Feast," supports the author's 'merging their indigenous practices with Islam?' theme. The Mexican community takes the Muslim tradition of  sacrificing an animal in the direction of Mecca with their ancient Mayans tradition of taking the hearts from their offering to their gods. Islam isn't supposed to be separated from important components of culture but it is meant to merge, grow, and flourish within its surroundings. Islam is not meant to be dominate and overbearing. It is meant to add and cover the culture with beauty, love, and understanding of Allah.
